They are going to induce labor at 6am on Thursday morning. Both boys are right at 6 lbs and healthy.

    Shit's about to get real.

Sucks about Bad Idea. Josh, if you read this and you find the suckers that did that, count to ten and go easy. I know your initial reaction (mine would be the same) and want to remind you there is no boating in prison. Of course if they are not left alive to testify.....

Ya man, Texoma is slowly rising for the last month. Right at 5 feet low, it's plenty usable now. The boats up there, bout an hour from driveway to driveway.

It was a lot more sketchy at 9 feet down. The rest of the lakes around town and West are still way off. East/SE Texas is fine.

Mother nature is trying to fill up the Rio Grande. I believe this is what is called "rain" in some parts of the world.

This is outside my office door right now:

Monsoon season has been pretty rainy. It's rained somewhere just about every day the past month....just not in the same place all the time.

Been riding my bike to work everyday (about 50 miles round trip) and it feels like a hair dryer in my face the entire time. Stoplights are unbearable. Still not quite adjusted to the heat. Been over 90* every day since we arrived 2 months ago.

    What happened to Bad Idea?

All the transom gear was jacked last Monday night. I started a APB thread.

It's been unusual Summer. Had a cold front last night. Low 33% humidity and a cool 95 today. Back to 102* Saturday but that's only gonna be the 6-7 day this year over 100. 2011 we had over 50 days by this time. Up to 107*. Hang in there Hobe. What are you riding?

Edit: I guess josh is at sea again cause he's gone black op's, off the grid. I heard from him yesterday 14:00.

Its a 1989 Honda Transalp. Hard to find in America. Only imported for 2 years...'89-'90. Rider Magazine Retrospective: Honda XL600V Transalp: 1989 – 1990

I got this bike back in 2005 ($2300 with 9k miles) and only put 2500 miles on it in 9 years in Wisconsin. Been in Florida for 10 weeks and put over 1500 miles on it. Its a 600 cc dual purpose bike but I am running 80/20 tires for street. Its perfect for this streetlight nightmare that is Naples.

Those are way cool bikes Hobe and, as you point out, quite rare in the USA. The kawasaki KLR 650 and Honda XL/XR 650s are much more common but don't have that V twin or the cool Paris Dakar bodywork. You are obviously a man of exceptional taste!

Mike I would take you up on that generous offer if we weren't headed back down to Orange Beach labor day.

Kendall, what are your labor day plans? If nothing else we could meet halfway between Biloxi and Orange Beach and share a brew mid ocean! Pick your GPS coordinates.
