Saturday afternoon, a motorized yacht carrying 30 people, 27 adults and 3 juveniles, sank approximately 100 yards off Pier 45 in San Francisco. Police say the boat was designed to carry 10 to 12 people but the amount on board was almost triple the capacity, causing the boat to become top heavy and capsize.

Two children ages 4 and 5 almost drowned in the incident and were admitted to the hospital in critical condition. The Fire Department reports that one of the boys was pulled from the water unconscious and not breathing but both boys were recently released and in good condition
