For 23 Years the Florida Powerboat Club has been bringing Miami Boat Show goers on a fantastic run to the keys following the boat show. This year brought a new venue at Faro Blanco with bigger and better docking to over 60 boats who signed up for the run.

Florida Powerboat Club owners Stu and Jackie Jones along with their extensive team of photographers, videographers, models, and other staff always put on a great show.  With Thursday and Friday departures, the boat teams departed from the Extreme Powerboats facility located near Haulover and then proceeded down to meet the rest of the teams near Grove harbor in Biscayne Bay for the 70 NM run to Key Marathon. The runs included the usual lunch stop at Gilbert’s in Key Largo that always provides a great meal for the club members.

In addition to all the fun, the Florida Powerboat Clubs safety plan was in full force with boats and rescue divers from Miami-Dade Fire rescue and Florida Fish and Wildlife on hand just in case there was a need.  As planned the rescue crews had a great day, ate a great lunch and returned home without incident.
