Changes are coming! The already bigger-than-life event is set to take it a step even further with several changes and additions being announced for the June 21-25 run.

After many years of successfully hosting the National Shootout Championship, the organizers were able to gain access to the calmer and safer waters of Clear Lake nearby. The six cities representing the jurisdiction over the lake granted the request due mainly in part to the event’s ability to be executed with extreme safety and organization as well as the new decision to shorten the shootout course length to 3/4 of a mile. The new venue for the shootout will allow the event to expand more, as well as this year they are also allowing boats under 100mph to compete.

With the entire lake being declared a no-wake zone, we’re expecting a massive increase in on water spectating, but also spectating in general since there is better shoreline viewing at the new lake.

And in a grand gesture, organizers have offered a free two night weekend stay for those shootout competitors that were unable to participate at Desert Storm this year due to the bad weather and resulting cancellation.

The iconic and always outrageous party at Kenny’s is going to take place again this year and in addition to this, there will also be a new and exclusive party, “Outlaw Saloon Casino Night”, for sponsors and advertisers with limited access. This is expected to be one hell of a party!

We’re looking forward to seeing all of you out there this year and can’t wait to see who takes home the trophies!
