Cigarette Anchors The SLT Collection

Owned by Scot Conrad and his wife, Dustin, the SLT Collection is a swanky assortment of exotic boats, automobiles and watches, all for sale of course, housed in an equally swanky Fort Lauderdale showroom. The boat-and-car products displayed are over the top, as are the big-buck time-pieces housed in their own perfectly lit room.

Short version? The SLT Collection—think Sea, Land and Time—is the coolest adult toy stores in South Florida. And yet something always was missing. Take nothing away from the outrageous quality of everything in the place. Scot and Dustin Conrad curate like no other couple you’ll ever meet. They have impeccable, unforced taste and style.

Handling sales in South Florida the SLT Collection is Cigarette Racing Team’s newest dealer.

And yet it still all felt kind of random. Beyond the fineness of it every item showcased, the SLT Collection never had an anchor.

That stolen rug that “really tied the room together” in The Big Lebowski? The SLT Collection didn’t have one.

Now it does. The SLT Collection is the newest Cigarette Racing Team dealer. Conrad has partnered with fellow marine industry veteran Wally Castro to handle to the South Florida territory for the Opa-Locka-based boat-builder. The dealership’s grand-opening bash happened last Thursday night in the posh SLT environs.

Guests included Cristina Ruiz of Cigarette Racing, Florida Powerboat Club leader Stu and Jackie Jones, former New Jersey Performance Powerboat Club head Dave Patnaude, well-known South Florida-based go-fast boating fans Greg and Yvonne Aleman, Win Farnsworth and Sara Christine of TF Motorsports offshore racing fame, ace rigging-man Troy Hannon of Supreme Marine and others.

The group mingled among the showroom goodies, which now included a couple of Cigarette center consoles

“So what do you think?” Conrad asked a longtime friend who joined in the celebration. “Pretty cool, yeah?”

His friend smiled and nodded. The place looked great. The vibe was joyful. The fit between iconic boat-builder and the SLT Collection seemed just right.

And the Cigarette models really tied the room together.
