From customers Dave and Susie Burgess to Frank and Judy Bahin and Ben and Marta Corson, DWR/Doug Wright Powerboats owner Justin Wagner is continuing to build a loyal following for the vaunted catamaran brand through high-touch, family-style purchase experiences. Wagner wants that level of builder-client involvement to continue throughout time of ownership, and to that end he plans to open six official DWR/Doug Wright Powerboats service locations in the next 60 days.
The first will be Maryland Offshore Marine Center in Ijamsville, which is roughly 50 miles from Baltimore. The well-established business is run by high-performance marine industry veterans Andrew Imhof, who also is the vice-president of DWR/Doug Wright Powerboats, and Mitch Kramer.

“Mitch and Andy of Maryland Offshore have bent over backward for my companies since day one,” Wagner explained. “Maryland Offshore is 25-years and is the full smash—they do everything.
“Andy is a powerhouse in our industry,” he continues. “He always does exactly what he says he’ll do. If a customer has an issue, it’s not unusual for him to hop on a plane and be there the next morning. I’ve seen him do it dozens of times.”
Wagner emphasized that official service centers are an integral part of the DWR/Doug Wright Powerboats brand culture, which begins the moment a would-be customer takes a demo ride
“Our customer service is second to none, and our service centers will continue that,” he said. “I am choosing marine businesses that I know will follow our protocols and service culture.”
