With a successful Desert Storm Poker Run experience behind it, South Florida-based Deep Impact Custom Boats has sets its promotional sights eastward. The company has taken on the presenting sponsor role for the Florida Powerboat Club’s 35th annual Bahamas Poker Run.
The event is set for June 3-10. Participants will visit Bimini, Nassau, Harbour Island and the Abacos.

Powered by six outboard engines, a Deep Impact 499 center console was the toast of the 2025 Florida Powerboat Club Bahamas adventure.
“All Florida Powerboat Club members are welcome to attend regardless of what brand of center console they own,” said Stu Jones, the president of the club. “But having Deep Impact join on as a presenting sponsor will certainly help to attract more Deep Impact owners as the company continues to expand its model lineup and cultivate a stronger base of customers who enjoy the powerboating lifestyle.
Led by company owner Mark Fisher, Deep Impact has reimagined its offshore center-console line during the past two years with 49- and 45-foot offerings, both of which can accommodate up to six outboard engines. A new model dubbed the 409 is in the offing, and the first hull reportedly out of the mold.
The company also is continuing to develop brand-family ties among its owners, hence the Bahamas sponsorship and the call for Deep Impact owners to head for the Bahamas come June as part of the Florida Powerboat Club group. It’s a move Jones applauds.
“I think that it’s important for performance boat manufacturers who want to create owners groups to understand that Florida Powerboat Club welcomes this opportunity within the framework of our existing events,” he explained. “For a manufacturer to invest in the resources and manpower and the costs associated with staging their own events—especially a multi-day event such as our Bahamas adventure—it just becomes prohibitive, and puts a tremendous strain on normal business operations.
“Jumping on board a Florida Powerboat Club that has already been running for 35 years with hotels, docking, special activities and the knowledge of the logistics is as turnkey as it gets,” he continued. “And it still provides the desired outcome of getting their owners together for fun excursion in paradise”
