This weekend will be a big one for performance-boating and offshore racing fans at the Lake of the Ozarks. On Saturday and Sunday, offshore raceboats will command a course on the Central Missouri waterway for Shootout Offshore, the third race event of the inaugural International Hot Rod Association Offshore Series. At this writing, 45 teams are registered across 11 classes.

Much as you may have your favorites as an offshore racing fan, there’s no guarantee your teams will take the checkered flag. But there is one sure way to come out of the weekend a winner.
