Formula Boats fans headed to the October 28-November 1, the Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show will have something new to ogle and explore. The Decatur, Ind., company will unveil its 360 Super Sport Crossover model during the annual South Florida event.
The 360 is the latest addition to Formula Super Sport Crossover series.
According to a Formula press release, the 36-foot is designer Michael Young’s “first, widely vaunted foray into solo design for the Formula brand.”
Measuring 36-feet long with an 11-foot, 3-inch beam, the 360 SSC rides on a FAS3Tech multi-step hull and boasts a molded structural grid. The boat is offered with Mercury Marine outboard power options include twin 600s and triple 300s, 350s, 400s and 425s.
“The 360 SSC continues Formula’s open-bow, full-cabin dayboat legacy without compromising full-width deck space and complete below-decks accommodation,” the release stated. “Unlike traditional center- or dual-console boats, the 360 SSC pairs a full single- level deck with true overnight accommodations below. A dedicated double berth, aircraft-inspired galley and fully enclosed stand-up head create a genuine private living space rarely found in a boat of this size.
Among the most intriguing features of the new addition to the Super Sport Crossover family is its full-width coupe top. According to the release, the top incorporates a top-to-bottom windshield and sliding bow window to port that “allows for an open, inviting cockpit experience.” The fiberglass structure includes “sophisticated, stylized arch-to-top side winglets, and incorporates a clever motorized forward vent and a full-width powered glass sunroof.” Operators can keep open the cockpit aft of the windshield open or choose the optional coupe side window panes for natural air-flow.
Yet another compelling feature of the 360 SSC is the outdoor kitchen in its rear cockpit. Features include a Corian® countertop, molded fiberglass sink with flip-up cover, design-inspired faucet, stainless Isotherm pullout fridge, dedicated trash container and paper towel holder.
Would-be owners can also add a 120-volt integrated cockpit grill and a 32-inch LED/LCD Smart high-definition television to the al fresco cooking set-up.
