Though the Lake St. Clair Donzi Fun Run happens July 23-25 in Michigan, the annual event is open to Donzi sportboat owners from around the country. The celebration of the vaunted brand is organized by C.R. Nihranz, one of the founders of the Lake St. Clair Donzi Club.
Like his fellow Donzi owners, Nihranz is a rabid fan of famed sportboat brand.

Donzi owner have their own brand-celebration in Michigan this month.
“We had people from over 10 different states and Canada last year and as far away as Florida,” he said. “As long as mother nature blesses us with good weather we are expecting another great turn out with many new faces.
“What began as a simple lunch run get-together has turned into a three-day event,” he continued. “On Thursday, we will do a lunch run over to the west side of the lake. Then if the weather permits, we will run down to Detroit under the bridge to Canada. Then we head back to Gull Island for a raft-off.”
The main events happens Friday.
“We start out at the North Channel Yacht Club for a meet-and-greet and drivers meeting,” Nihranz explained. “We do a run out into Lake St Clair around the beautiful Harsens Island to lunch at the Clinton River Boat Club with a raft-up at the end in Muscamoot Bay.
“On Saturday, we will cruise up to Marine City for breakfast in downtown then go up to the City of St Clair to check out the race festivities.” he added. “From there we’ll head Port Huron to check out the beautiful waters of Lake Huron. We will also squeeze in a raft off in Goose Bay.
