Nor-Tech’s Henrik Margård Joins Fort Myers Offshore Board

Though other high-performance powerboat builders are discovering Fort Myers Offshore—and they’re welcomed, of course, as rising tides really do lift all ships—Nor-Tech Hi-Performance Boats has been the nonprofit scholarship fundraising club’s primary marine industry benefactor for years. That makes excellent sense because philanthropy at the local level is more than a company-wide Nor-Tech passion.

It’s a structural element of the of the Cape Coral, Fla., center-console and catamaran builder’s culture.

The newest member of the Fort Myers Offshore board of director, Henrik Margård was joined at the 2024 Boyne Thunder Poker Run by his wife, Carey, and their daughter, Gabriella.

So it makes equally excellent sense that the Fort Myers Offshore board of directors recently voted to add Nor-Tech chief operating officer Henrik Margård—who joined the company in 2015 and is the tip of Nor-Tech’s philanthropic spear—to their ranks.

“I’m excited and honored to join the Fort Myers Offshore Board of Directors and continue Nor-Tech High Performance Boats’ proud tradition of supporting this organization,” Margård said. “Having been part of the Nor-Tech team for more than 11 years, I take great pride in our commitment to the boating community and to giving back.

“Fort Myers Offshore’s mission of providing scholarships to local students in Lee County is one we believe in deeply,” he added. “I look forward to helping create meaningful opportunities for their future.”

With a 10-event season planned for the 2026/2027 season, which begins with a lunch run to the Marco Island Yacht Club later this month, Margård increased involvement with the club couldn’t have come at a better time.

“Henrik has been a tremendous supporter of FMO and his passion for the performance boating community and what we are trying to accomplish through our charitable mission makes him a natural fit for the board,” Tim Hill, the president of Fort Myers Offshore, explained. “Nor-Tech has been an important part of the Southwest Florida boating community for decades, and Henrik brings a tremendous amount of industry knowledge, experience and relationships to our organization. More importantly, he understands that at the end of the day, everything we do with FMO is about bringing people together, having fun on the water and creating opportunities for Southwest Florida students.

“Henrik told me when he accepted, ‘Let’s go raise some money,’ and I think that pretty much sums up why he belongs on this board,” he concluded. “We’re looking forward to having him alongside us as we continue taking FMO to the next level.”
