Owners Regatta Ahead For The DCB Faithful

Of the 40 to 50 boats that ran in the Lake Powell Challenge last weekend, almost half were of the DCB Performance Marine kind. Even when the custom catamaran brand was based in Southern California, the annual event based at Antelope Point Marina in Page, Ariz., always attracted a strong herd of DCB creations. The company’s relocation to Phoenix a little more than two years ago made the connection even stronger.

That the annual DCB Owners Regatta in Lake Havasu City, Ariz., typically happens a couple of weekends after the Lake Powell affair makes the event-connection that much tighter. Following the Lake Powell adventure, several customers left their boats at DCB headquarters to for service and touch-up work ahead of the October 2-4 gathering of owners.

DCB M37R catamaran owner Dan Kuhn of Southwest Florida took delivery of the then-new boat during the 2024 regatta.

According to DCB vice-president Tony Chiaramonte, some 60 owners and their guests will enjoy this 35th annual gathering. Some clients, such as first-time M37R catamaran owner Dan Kuhn of Cape Coral, Fla.—who not only enjoyed this year’s Lake Powell affair but took delivery of the 37-footer during last year’s regatta—will travel from afar to be there. Others will come from as nearby as Lake Havasu City itself.

“That’s usually about the number we get for the regatta,” Chiaramonte said. “No matter how many owners participate, it’s always a great way for us to celebrate our DCB customer-family.

“We have the best customers in the world,” he added.

The DCB regatta has been the scene of many new-build deliveries and even several new-model releases. At the 2025, they will be one in the same as the first M35R catamaran is going to its new owners Chad and Dianne Budge.

“The M35R is their fifth DCB and their third brand-new build,” Chiaramonte said.

And there couldn’t be a better time and place for it to happen.
