Three Special Deliveries

Last week, Performance Boat Center of Osage Beach, Mo., delivered eight powerboats, seven of them brand-new and one a brilliant restoration project. By any measure, that’s strong work to begin the boating season, which kicked off Saturday at the Lake of the Ozarks with the multi-brand dealership’s Spring Fun Run.

Three of the deliveries were particularly intriguing. On the new-boat side, there was a color-matched combo of a Performances Powerboats P360 catamaran and a Sunsation Boats 32 CCX center console. The new boat duo went to Davey and Tina Tharp of South Carolina

It is the first such pairing to date and it’s stunner. That the boats were painted by two different shops—Performance Boat Center took care of the catamaran and Kustom Colors of Marion, Ohio, handled the center console—made the combo-project even more impressive.

Showing zero signs of age thanks to Performance Boat Center, this Skater 36 catamaran was released in 1997.

Perhaps even more spectacular still was an all-white 1997-model-year 36-foot Skater catamaran Performance Boat Center delivered to owner Doug Cooper of Arkansas. Not only did the dealership’s team gut and replace the 28-year-old cat’s interior, it swapped out its original Mercury Racing 575 SCi engines and replaced them with Mercury Racing 1100 in the boat’s refurbished engine compartment.
