Video Food For Go-Fast Powerboat Owners On Thanksgiving Day

There are three NFL football games to watch today, and there’s a good chance that the early afternoon Packers-Lions game won’t mess with your Thanksgiving feast. But the late-afternoon Chiefs-Cowboys match-up just might create a family conflict if television is forbidden during your meal. At least the Bengals-Ravens contest doesn’t start until 8:20 p.m. so you have a good shot of catching that one belly up on the couch.

But what if you don’t like professional football? Not everyone does.

For offshore racing fans, you might want to consider watching the four-part Speed On The Water/Scrapyard Media “Super Cat: Race For U.S. 1” video series. And if you’ve already watched it, you might just want to watch it again.

Admittedly biased as a series co-producer, I believe it is the best series ever produced on offshore racing. Did it ruffle feathers is the offshore racing community? Absolutely—a few offshore racers told me they hated it—one well-known throttleman told me it sucked without watching minute of it.

Obviously, I took that opinion with a dump-truck of salt. Another racer told me it “killed” the Super Cat class, which remains quite alive and well.

But no matter. If offshore racing isn’t your jam, there are dozens of high-quality videos to watch on the Speed On The Water YouTube channel, from the most recent “In The Lead” series episode focused on offshore racing safety-man Shawn Steinert to a pair of videos that capture the adventures of the Factory Billet team at the 2024 and 2025 Lake of the Ozarks Shootout events.

Want to revisit your favorite boating event? The Speed On The Water YouTube channel has four videos chronicling the most recent Boyne Thunder Poker Runs, one on this year’s Rocky Top Power Run and another one captured during the 2024 Skaterfest event, which celebrated the 50th anniversary of the Douglas, Mich., high-performance catamaran brand. Want to stroll down memory lane in Clayton, N.Y., during the 1,000 Islands Charity Poker Run in 2023? That, too, is a watch option.

Any of those videos and lots more will beat a football game you don’t care about, that’s for sure. You have lots of options on this fine Thanksgiving day.

And on that note, Speedonthewater.com and Powerboatnation.com wish you a very happy Thanksgiving.
