From attitude to economics, owner Tyler Miller powers the M CON Offshore Racing team. Miller has campaigned a Class 1 raceboat since 2023, led a dominant Super Cat-class campaign from 2017 to 2024 and added a Super Stock-class team his program this year, The Wathena, Kans.-based excavating business-owner has been a boon to both his own teammates and the sport itself.
Miller leads by example—no one in the M CON team family outworks him—and his energy never seems to fade.

And he needed every bit of it starting last Wednesday at the 38th annual Lake of the Ozarks Shootout Miller and his wife, Lindsey left home after work that day and arrived just in time for the Shootout On The Strip street exhibit, where his new Class 1 Skater 418 raceboat was on display.
“It was another whirlwind of an event for us, from getting to the street party after work to getting into a raceboat at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday for the Shootout and basically not getting out until 5 p.m.,” he said, then chuckled. “It was a long day but a good day.
“All in all, another successful Shootout is in the books,” he continued. “But everyone is alive and the fans got to once again see some amazing runs and hardware. There were by far the most spectators I’ve ever seen on Saturday, and hopefully the Shootout fills the the needs of the charities it helps support.”
What continues to drive Miller, he said, is passion.
“It’s one word with so many meanings for me,” he said. “Passion for the hometown and abroad fan-base. Passion for my family to continue to be the best we can be in the sport. Passion for the team to keep the highest level of effort. Passion for the comradery and race-family love. And notably passion for the water I have had since being a small kid and the ability to have boats running across it.
“That’s the cherry on top,” he added.
