Earlier today on Lake Havasu a boating accident involving a jet ski and the 36′ catamaran performance boat “Cállate” that has resulted in injuries to the boat’s owner Larry Guillen, project manager Brad Stewart and one other unnamed passenger.

According to a preliminary report from the Mohave County Sherriff’s Department it is reported that the boat, traveling at approximately 80 – 100 MPH swerved to avoid a jet ski and while the contact was avoided, all three passengers were said to have been ejected from the craft. All on board were wearing life vests and a safety lanyard kill switch was used to properly kill the motors. Fire and rescue crews responded to the Black Meadow landing where the victims were brought by other boaters that had rescued them from the water. All three were than transported to Contact point whereupon Guillen was transported to Havasu Regional Medical Center with a severe head laceration. Stewart and the other passenger had minor injuries, declined treatment and were not taken to the hospital.
