Sunsation Boat sales are heating up for WMF Watercraft And Marine of Cape Coral, Fla. The multi-brand full-service dealership built its reputation on the Avalon line of pontoon boats, especially among performance-minded buyers who appreciate potent outboard engines on their transoms. That dovetails neatly with the addition of the performance-oriented Sunsation line.
WMF Watercraft and Marine paid a recent visit to Sunsation’s Michigan headquarters.
“We sold a 32 CCX Sunsation yesterday,” said Bill Forenski, the owner WMF Watercraft And Marine. “And (WMF team-member) Johnny Quintero was in Michigan at Sunsation headquarters with a client ordering a new 34 CCX.”
The 34-footer will be ready in time to be part of the WMF display at the Fort Myers Boat Show in November.
WMF’s most recently delivered Avalon tri-toon is a beauty.
The dealership’s most recent pontoon sale was a 27-foot, custom-painted “Ford GT Heritage Blue” Avalon Excalibur Carbon model powered by twin 425-hp outboards from Mercury Marine outboards. A local buyer in Southwest Florida bought the tri-toon creation and learned of WMF though “word of mouth,” according to Forenski.
“The buyer wanted an American-made boat,” he said. “He visited us, ran the boat, loved it and bought it right away.”
