Despite that its annual Owners Regatta is just two weeks away and their phones are ringing off the hook, DCB Performance Marine team-members can’t let the Lake Havasu City, Ariz.-based brand-celebration distract them. They have too much going at the company’s Phoenix headquarters to lose focus.
DCB M35 catamarans are a hot commodity these days.
As reported on Powerboat Nation in June, DCB is finishing up its fourth M45. The sterndrive-engine-equipped model—the mellowest of which boasts twin Mercury Racing 1100s—has proven to be a more-than-worthwhile addition to the company’s full-tunnel catamarans.
But while the builder’s full-tunnel series of cats from its outboard engine-powered 35-, 37- and 42-footers is still thriving, its center-pod cousins have not vanished. Far from it, in fact. The company just delivered an M35 with twin Mercury Racing 1350/1100 stern-drive engine. It is the third 35-footer to be built with the potent power package.
Two more M35s with the same setup are in production.
Early arrivals for the Owners Regatta—and there tend to be a lot of them—who stop by the production facility will get a good look at the aforementioned builds and more. Then they’ll head to Lake Havasu to celebrate with other members of the DCB tribe. As previously reported here, some 70 boats and 300 plus participants are expected.
And the DCB team will keep right on working building the products that bind them.
