Adding even more appeal to this year’s affair is the America’s Mighty Warriors organization, an Arizona-based 501(c)3 non-profit corporation that “honors our troops, the fallen and their families with programs that improve quality of life, resiliency and recovery.”
“We could not be more honored to welcome and support this organization,” wrote Amber McDaniel, the Lake Powell event’s lead organizer, in a letter to its sponsors. “Founded by Debbie Lee after the loss of her son Marc in Iraq, AMW serves the veteran and military community. America’s Mighty Warriors focuses on programs that include education and advocacy, acts of kindness, helping heroes heal, Gold Star resiliency and respite.
“We wholeheartedly thank you for your efforts to support Lake Powell Challenge Charities Foundation,” she continued. “Your participation continually allows us to uphold our commitment supporting these worthy causes.”
