Tragedy In Greece!

More that 45 people, including 17 children drowned this morning in the Aegean Sea as two smuggling boats sank rapidly off the coasts of different Greek islands. Search and Rescue operations were underway as soon as word of the sinking came and the Greek coast guard was able to save over 70 people trapped in the sinking vessels. This latest drowning follows hundreds of others over the past year as migrants seek asylum in Europe at an unprecedented rate. With the EU divided on what to officially do about the influx of migrants, thousands are forced to find alternative, illegal smuggling opportunities to get their families and loved ones to safety. With some nations setting a cap on the number of migrants allowed, and others simply closing their borders, we can be sure to see many more smuggling and traveling related deaths as people have no other choice in front of them.
