Near the end of the 2024 offshore powerboat racing season, M CON Offshore Racing team-owner Tyler Miller was done with fielding two teams. The effort of running Super Cat and Pro Class 1 programs is endless. The costs are exorbitant.

And for a family man running a thriving excavation business, the time-suck for campaigning two teams in the sport’s fastest classes is unholy.
For Miller and his wife, Lindsey, something had to give
With two world titles and four consecutive national championships to his credit in Super Cat, Miller had nothing left to prove in that class and was enjoying the evolution of Pro Class 1, So he exited Super Cat after the 2024 season.
Now Miller has two teams again— Pro Class 1 and Factory Stock—and both claimed checkered flags last weekend at the Shootout Offshore event on the Lake of the Ozarks. Both also debuted new boats at the Central Missouri event.
Though campaigning a Factory Stock team isn’t simple, it is far less complicated and time-consuming than running Super Cat program. So while it does add to Miller’s load, it’s not the backbreaking running Super Cat once was.
Miller is delighted with both of the new rides he shares with driver Myrick Coil. A new model dubbed from Skater Powerboats dubbed the 418, the Monster Energy/M CON Offshore Racing catamaran Miller and Coil with run for the of the season was designed to quick and nimble.
“The Skater is a collaborative work of art that was built based off of multiple different raceboats we’ve had the pleasure to operate,” Miller explained. “We took the best attributes out of all of them and compressed them into a boat like I’ve never seen. From acceleration to top speed, the boat feels amazing
“But the most notable feature in my opinion is the cat’s ability to get on the apex and corner in rails,” he added, then chuckled. “It will pull your eyeballs out of there sockets”
New to the Factory Stock ranks—Miller and Coil could be most talented “rookies” to ever enter the class—the M CON cockpit duo is running a new MTI 390XR catamaran. They didn’t expect to claim top honors on their home-water last weekend, but of course they were thrilled that they did.

A winner last weekend, M CON’s new Factory Stock-class catamaran is and MTI 390XR
Safe to say, Miller digs his new twin Mercury Racing 500R outboard-engine-powered ride.
“MTI built and rigged a beautiful machine,” he said. “The boat’s ability to run amazing lines at high speeds, all while carrying a best-in-class cockpit safety cell, are the features I like most about the boat.
“Factory Stock is an amazing class full of great talent and genuine people,” he concluded. “That make it a pleasure to be part of.”
