OPA World Finals: Miss Geico Limps Into First Place in Extreme Class

In a 12-lap race totalling 54 miles, the first day of OPA World Finals in Englewood, FL, came to an close with several Extreme class boats suffering mechanical issues at different points of the race. Miss Geico Racing, which enjoyed a huge lead for most of the race, seemed to lose an engine in the final laps, but managed to hang on just long enough to limp into first place.

Following close behind were Stotler Turbo, Team CRC and AMH Motorsports. #18 CT Marine, with Billy Moore of Iconic Marine Group, dropped out of the race early with its own mechanical problems.
